My Writing Space

So, this month was my birthday, I had a great party and many happy presents. I was gifted with good visits from great friends, Daddy Stivan came home for my birthday, I got writing acoutrements, jewelry, alcohol and a nice concussion.

But the best present for both myself and for you my wonderful readers, is my new writing partner. Galen Blackthorne... my favorite brother ... has set aside time, once a week for the two of us to write together. We will be writing seperately and together in a collobaration. I am hoping that this will result in a lot of new material.

I am going to Mexico in the spring, for a full immersion course in spanish, I get to spend two months in San Miguel De Allende. Better, my financial aide will pay for it.

Also, for those who do not know yet, My first book is available at http://www.lulu.com ; from there you can search "The Black Widow Speaks". It will walk you through the buying of my book. If you want a first edition, you need to order it soon, Before the first of the year, I will be updating my book and printing a second edition for all my endearing fans.

I must go back to game now, as my god is glaring at me profusely.

Sorry about the delay, Obviously the once a week things is not working for me. I have hardly had any time to write at all. However, I am published in a new anthology. It is from a workshop I took this summer. Write Around Portland. It is sponsored by Powells Book Store.

The book is called Cracks in the Paint, and my piece in it is entitled Tapertries of Youth. I am working on typing up all my work from the workshop and posting it here. That is my goal for this week. I took a weeks vacation to complete this task, so maybe I will get it done. Maybe I will watch old movies and write more... Who knows.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the reading. As always feedback would be great!!! Look for some new changes to the website and let me know what you think. Also, I maybe moving this website and letting go of my freewebs account. I will post the news everywhere when and If I do it.

If you are interested in the new book, it is available at Powells Books for 12 dollars. Write Around Portland is a great workshop. I am hoping to do another in the winter... maybe... if I can find the time.

Anyway, Hope you all enjoy the new stuff. If I change sites, I will keep both up and running for a bit, to ease in the transfer.

I am attempting to make a resolution this year. I will attempt to leave a new blog with a writing update each week and hopefully post a new and updated version of one story or another each week as well. I am going to try to update on Mondays. So, everyone check bak here through the week ahead. I am going to make some more changes. Everything is not quite where I want it. Once everything is done (by Next Monday January12th 2009 )  I will begin my weekly updates.

I hope this gets some action on my website. I will be advertising it everywhere. I would really like some input on these pages, so please give the address to your friends. Help spread the word. The more input, good, bad, indifferent, advice, anything... the better. Tell me which characters you like, which you don't, which you think would be better doing whatever. You get the idea.

I am submitting one of these stories to the literary magazine published by the college I am attending. I will let you know if it gets accepted. Most likely it will be spread across everything I touch on the web.

So, that is this weeks update.

Ok, So I finally found out how to add members to my sight so you all should be able to read and comment on my blogs now. I am taking a creative writing course, and while it has put my other work on hold (Sorry about that) it has inspired new work from my muse. I have posted the two finished (So to speak) works here. So, when I finish an assignment I will put it here.

Hi there everyone. I just thought I would update you on my recent activities.

I have submitted to ten different literary agents, and three of them have responded so far. All three were rejections, but two of them were very positive rejections.

I have also submitted about 5 stories to different literary magazines and I am still waiting to here the results of those.

So, that is where I am so far, I am hoping to do some writing tomorrow, I will post whatever I get done here so you all can read it. Let me know what you think.

Today, I updated the website a little. I am comtemplating an overhaul. Maybe some background changes and such, I am in the process of changing some other stuff on the site.

I put a blog page on here so everyone who was interested could keep informed with my writing and any updates to them... So... Let me just get everyone caught up...

First of all... please share this site with your friends. I am looking for unbiased opinions and feedback...

Second... The original publisher I wanted to go with was incredibly stupid... So I told him no... So I found another publisher...

Thirdly, I submitted my work to Gothic Press and they like my idea but it is not dark enough for their publishing... So they have turned me down... But told me they liked my work... So I am off to find yet another publisher... In the meantime... I have put the main body of work back on the website ... Please read and give me feed back!!!
