My Writing Space

Sarrin Blackthorne has been writing for about 16 years, but only recently gathered up the courage to submit her work to local and privately circulated publications. She began by self-publishing a book of short stories entitled "The Black Widow Speaks", which can be found on lulu.com. Her other published credits include a piece entitled "Tapestries of Youth" included in an anthology called "Cracks in the Paint".

Her writing style is heavily influenced by authors in the horror/fantasy genre such as Anne Rice, Stephen King, and Robert Jordan. She has always been interested in the horror/fantasy genre and credits her interest in it to her mother, who encouraged Sarrin to write, watch and read the genre since she was a child. 

Sarrin was born and raised in and around Portland, Oregon. She continues to lead an extrememly active life supported by her wonderful family and friends, many of whom are found in the pages of her writing, in one form or another.
